in a field

in a field i am the absence of field,
wherever i am,
i am what is missing.
When i walk the air makes space for me,
where i have been the air returns.
We all have reasons for moving
i move to keep things whole

night gardener performance/morris arboretum/oct 19,2005
For “a long green hour” LURE founder Aaron Igler has gathered this group of primarily Philadelphia artists, performers, and musicians to create original works using the Arboretum’s lush color and textures as inspiration. Prepare to rouse your senses with site-referential pieces including a hand-drawn animation by painter Kate Abercrombie (based on plant species found at Morris Arboretum) projected from inside a custom-built bat house. Witness a smoky, gurgling alien landscape in Paul Swenbeck’s first video installation. Participate in a performance by Kelly Cobb featuring night-shift “gardners” in specially designed outfits, cultivating mysterious species by the glow of dynamo-powered flashlights.

enter: garment research

Garment Research is my ongoing creative venture, an umbrella term of for varied project based performance of life explorations. Here, the garment functions as my portable system of investigation. I combine video, photo and sound to create sculptural systems capable of bridging the topography of my imagination with that of the tangible world.
